well i shall write a long mail, please bear with me.

im on TTC right now as well on medicine FERTOMID(3-7DAYS)and DUPHASTON(16-25TH DAYS)of my mensuration cycle.im on this for 6 cycles.

the thing is im taking this medicines since 2 months.in first cycle i didnt ovulute but in this cycle i ovuluted, but i got my period today.im very dissapointed as i was quite sure that i will get struck this time.im being monitored through ultrasounds from the 14th-21st days of my periodsto see size of my ovum.its called \" FOLLICLE MONITORING\" .we are planning naturally as of now.

i want a suggestion...should i plan naturally or go for an IUI.i dont want to waste much time.
my husband as well as my reports are normal.i though i have irregular cycles so i took Fertomid as suggested by doctor.
i spoketo my doctor but the doctor seems to be ok with what im going through treatment as of now.if we both suggest of IUI is it ok?im really upset that i got my periods today...dont know what to do.should i take this medicine for next 4 cycles or do what?
i have heard success stories but with me its still not happening...

Relax as best you can, I know its very hard not to stress out but make an effort to calm yourself when you do. Take up meditation or some other calming activity and remember that everyone here is in the same position. Its an awful wait but a worthwhile one. I guess the old saying " Patience is a Virtue" is more true now than ever before.

Hey,

Its good that your doc is going to be doing follical monitoring. As I have said studies show that effectiveness of fertility treatments increases the longer you' re on it. You' ve only been on it a short while, 2 full cycles so be patient.

Your doc will probably suggest IUI if and when they feel it is appropriate, it is possibly too soon to be thinking of such things. If you are thinking of exploring the use of IUI than you need to speak with your doc. A lot of the time Clomid and IUI are used together and in other cases combining the two won' t increase your chances so there is little point in wasting money. Qrs only your doctor can advise you properly on the situation so talk with him. All the best with your baby making, just be patient and make the most of communicating with your doc as much as you can.
