My husband has been an absentee father for our children for long. His job is such that he is constantly travelling and busy. I had dreams of a very happy foursome doing all kinds of interesting things and activities together, but that is not so. Moreover, they are missing on the a whole lot of 'man' things like boisterous games and outings, though I try to best make up for it. It is as good as being a single parent. Though I must say, i am experiencing the joy that single parents 'out of choice' do!

Yes I understand your position because my husband is also a very busy man though he is available on weekends. But since I dont have to provide for ourselves, it takes away the huge responsibility which other single parents face. I fully agree with you that inspite of the difficulties, the joy and pride of bringing up the children single handedly is unparalleled. Afterall the children are young and dependent only for a short time.
