Hi Guys,

As we all know it is recommended to sleep on your left side during pregnancy But I am not able to do that.Most of the times I sleep on my right coz I feel that is most comfortable position. Otherwise I sleep staight.

Let me know how you all are managing to sleep on left ?

Ruchika Simmi replied. Hi Ruchika. I too read in books that sleeping on left is recommended and that sleeping on back is not good as it may cause high blood pressure. But I double checked with my doc this week and she said this is just a myth, you should sleep the way you r most comfortable, however, using pillows is suggested to raise our heads higher than the tummy to avoid discomfort.
I find it tough to sleep on sides, so have started sleeping any position I can....till the time we rest, that is the best. Hope this helps. Khushi replied. Hi Ruchika,

It's good if u can sleep on left side coz it's the best comfortable position to sleep as the books say but if u feel uncomfortable than any side is good coz we can't sleep on left side all the time. Actually i'm in my last month now so it's hard for me even to aleep on laft side all the time then i talked to my instructor in prenatal classes & she said any side is good but try to avoid sleep straight. & I read somewhere that if u r very tired & wanna sleep straight for sometime just put pillow beneath u this way even if u sleep straight u r a bit turned on one side. So try to avoid sleeping straight.
