hi I am suchita and completed 6 weeks of pregnency. I have very severe abdominal pain which remains for 10 - 15 minutes once or twice in a day. It is just unbearable.
I was admitted in one private reputed hospital and was under treatment of one reputed gynacologist. all test ranging from blood, urine, appendix , kidney stone , sonogrophy (no tube pregnency), urine culture ..to HIV and all were carried out and all are negative..the reason of pain could not be detected.
It is very severe pain..doctor says I will have to wait for 2 more weeks ...
Pls suggest...

I do not have enough expertise to answer the question about the various drugs taken in the 5th week. You could do a net search. There is a person on the \";expectant parents\"; or \";waiting to try\"; board by the name \";Archie\"; who might be able to provide assistance. Make a summary of your case and post it one under your due date month. Or do so under \";waiting to try\";.

I am sorry to be unable to provide a better answer. But better to refer to someone with more knowledge than provide wrong response.

Uterine pain is due to hormonal adjustments immediately needed after conception, and during first trimester. Some of The drugs administered to you are not to be given in pregnancy, as your net search by those names will reveal to you. There can be a possibility of CNS damage to the embryo.
Under the circumstances it would be hard decision, but it is suggested that try applying a 1 tsp Phal Ghrutam (if you can get it rapidly) to pelvis are, for 5-10 minutes massage with very light pressure. Check within 34 days pains will reduce. If not go for unpleasant decision.

yes..it may be uterine stretching...
we have 6 yrs old son and this pregnency is after 6 yrs..

doctor says probably body is not responding to harmonal or physical changes in body due to this gap ..and reacting..even though...why is it like a stroke ...of 10 -15 minutes ..?

and finally whatever the reason ..any pain killer or medication so as to ease the pain ...?? without harming the pregnency ??

Also from last few hours there is white discharge and spotting observed today..and 6 days back and 8 days back only spotting (total 3 times)

pls suggest

yes, hcg and progesterone levels are checked ..and they are in normal range.

About status embryo -
Uterus is bulky and shows presence of a well defined gestational sac with a mean sac diameter of 14 mm (5 weeks and 4 days , +/- 1 week )

No fetal pole identified on perabdominal examination.
Both overies are normal in appearance.
No fluid is seen in POD.

Even today we had been to another doctor for second openion. Even she is not sure and says this is quite rarely observed.

Pain still continues..throughout the day ( which is bearable )but approx. after 12 hours for 10 -15 minutes - very acute and severe..also during this severe pain..her throat feels like chocked and she drinks 1 -2 glass of cold water...this is very typical every time..

This doctor has even advised for meditation (pranayam) ...but root cause and the treatment ..still not known.. waiting for 2 weeks seems difficult...pls suggest ..

Yesterday we consulted one more doctor- who was former head of Gynac deptt. of All India Institute of Medical Science..(AIIMS,Delhi).
She outrightly denied any sort of pain killer in this state of pregnency..
She had agin ultrasound and found that fetus is perfectly all right - (fetel poles clearly seen, sac of 6 weeks +3 days (+- 5 days ) with clear heart beats )and asked to bear this pain..and if not bearable then abort..(decision upto us )

Now that having observed clearly heart beats ..I am not prepared mentally for abortion but still pain remains unbearable (stabbing pain) But now even if I want to retain this , there is another doubt --
In my previous treatment 1 week back in the hospital where I had been admitted for 3 days following medicines were taken(When I had completed 5 weeks 4 days )..which as per this doctor - might be harmful to fetus and cause deformity ... Following are the medicines...
----------------------------------
1. RANTAC - Total -3 injections - daily 1- each of 2ml
2. UTERONE - Total -3 injections - daily 1- each of 100mg
3.DIAZEPAM (compose) - IV - Total -3 injections - daily 1- each of 2ml
4. PHENERGAN -IV - Total 1 - of 2ml
5. TAXIM (antibiotic) - Total 10 tablets - daily 2 - 5 days
6. UTERON capsul (vaginal)- Total 14 - daily 2 for 7 days (200mg)
7. SPARMINBON - pain killer - only once 1 tablet
8. DwoDILNM -relaxed-for uterus flexibility - daily 1 for 4 days (which doctor says --can be taken after 3 months completion only )
---------------------------------
Sorry - I am being too elaborative.. but would like to confirm - if any of these medicines which are taken when pregnency of 5 weeks 4 days would /can cause any sort of deformity in the fetus..??
This would help our decision to continue (while bearing pain ..)or discontinue.. at this critial juncture...

Thanks..
(Actually this is her husband ..she is not in any shape to write ..)

Did doctor suggest anything for the pain? Here in US, acetaminophen (tylenol) is considered safe to use during pregnancy. I think the Indian equivalent is paracetamol. Please check with your doctor if you can take it. So sorry to suggest but is there some way you can bear it since it is only 6 weeks into pregnancy and why take unnecessary risk?

It may be uterine stretching. I know a lot of ladies have similar pains but yours sounds very bad. Perhaps your only option is to wait two weeks and be patient and brave until then. If everything seems ok so far than I hope they continue that way for you. May your baby be born stong and healthy.
