Due Date Club February 2005:Weight concern...

Hi All

Am into my 25th week, so far I have put on about 10kg of weight, last month alone i have put on 3kgs.
Is this weight gain normal or is it alarming. Doc. wasn't concerned about this gain. Am worried.
Please suggest.

Hai Madhu,

It's good to know that i am not alone....b'coz most of the time i was reading about people gaining less weight.
I too gained 9 kgs and i am in my 22nd week.I was concerned and consulted my doctor....
According to him it is normal untilll and unless it is not accomplied with blood pressure,pain etc.

I have low B.P and there are no swellings.....and the baby's growth is normal...so there is nothing to worry.

so don't worry but make sure that u don't put on toooo much weight...eat fruits and veges more when hungry .try to avoid french fries,ghee products,chips etc(i know it's difficult to resist)which are more in calories than in nutrients.

Pls do not worry.
Even i am sailing in the same boat.
Where u underweight in pre-pregnancy?
I was weighing just 48kgs and my doctor literally scared me abt the weight and asked me to take enough food.I think thatz the main reason for the weight....If the doctor feels ok then itz not a problem..

haven't been eating too much of calorie food, but inspite had put on weight. should check it from now on.

KK hospital i find is the best in singapore also cheap
It depends where u stay actually
If u are on the west coast then KK wont be far else if u stay near jurong there are many hosp for kids there
