hi

Our son is about 5 months old. 2 months back he was diagnosed as anaemic. he was prescribed some iron supplements. But what we have noticed is that ever since he has been taking these iron supplements, he has not been gaining adequate weight.
His weight gain was adequate in first 3 months and also we had to stop the medicine for about 10 days last month, then also he gained adequate weight.
Has anybody else seem similar thing?

Try as much as possible to avoide medicine Supplements can be had with Fresh Vegetables/Juices. For Iron best is Spinach Juice or Spinach in any form and as per International Doctors advise medicine should be avoided till 18 Months if at all to be given it should be 1/2 of what the doctor states.All the best

Pls. consult a good paediatrician and get her urine sample tested. Bbaies will not gain weight if they have an urinary tract infection. They will not show any symptoms at the same time.
