Hi Gals,

I'm travelling to Atlanta from India with my son in Sept. He would have almost completed 4 months by then. As only both of us are travelling, I would like some advise from you guys.

1. Will I be able to manage alone?
2. Is it better if I carry a stroller? Light weight or the regular one?
3. Is it ok to give Infant intoxicant before the flight?
4. I am not carrying a car seat, will a bassinet be available on the flight?
5. What do I do with my son, if I have to go to the loo?

Please advice me on this.

Bye,
Hamsa

Hi Hamsa,

Carry his stroller, a light weight as the Alines don't allow big ones to be in the cabin. Bassinets are provided in the flights but are limited in no. I will advise that while booking your ticket you mention the need to your Aline and try to reach airport as soon as possible, Alines provide bassinets on first come first serve basis (even if you are 100% that you booked the bassinet sometimes it happens that all bassinets are occupied.)

Ask your Dr. (Ped) for a intoxicant, he is the best to advise you. People give Benadril to kids on flight for sleep but I will advise ask your Dr. first.

Yes, you will be able to manage alone, tell the Alines to give you the leg space seat, (that also depends when you reach airport so reach early), for loo you can just ask any of your co-passengers to look for the baby if he is in Bassinet or you can take the help of the flight attendents, it is perfectly normal for them.

Take care and Best of Luck for your trip......Neetu

Sleep Problem due to itchy skin
My baby girl is unable to sleep properly due to skin rashes. I have resumed oil massages to help calm her down and facilitate better sleep, using CITTA Baby Massage Oil. Additionally, I am applying the ointment recommended by her doctor for the rashes. Could you please provide me with more ideas that can promote better sleep for her?... - Sanchari Tarafdar [View Message]

RE:How to Develop a Sleep Routine for your Newborn
According to me this is good but then you cannot force your child to sleep as per your wish as kids as really bad in this and they have a tendency to sleep in day and get up in late night so according to me this is not the key to success, please post if i am wrong.... - Anita [View Message]
