Hi girls,
do you girls get heartburns?
I am 21 weeks pregnant and get it everyday.
I feel full all the time but have to eat.
I read eating papaya reduces heartburns and even tried it and felt better.
Do you all know any other home remedy for heratburns?

Try drinking cold milk..my grandma would give me ginger juice (grate ginger and extract juice..if u don't want too much effort in it, u get ginger powder and can mix with water and sugar (if u don't like the taste))
ginger is good for acidity, heartburn and indigestion. I am a bit concerned about the eating of papaya..if u look at most of the indian sites on pregnancy, they say papaya produces heat in the body not good for a pregnant lady, but check it out with ur doctor. I know papaya helps indigestion...but that was my first advice i got during this time from friends and aunts to avoid papaya.
Try drinking fluids, tums may help too.
DO not take eno/alkaselzter during this time.
DOn't worry u will be fine soon.
Take care.
Radhika

Hi Natasha,

I think Radhika is right about papaya,as I also came to know from friends and some sites that we should not eat papaya at this time..

Hey,radhika should we avoid eno.I am taking it but very rare when I can't breathe my Gas.As I have severe gas sometimes.

Love,
Nikki
