have u all decided ur pediatrician? it seems we have to choose one before edd, who will visit and examine the baby after delivery. do anyone know abt that?

Yes, You are right.

Dear Jichi,

It is good to choose a good Pediatrician now. It is a great help at the time of delivery as he/she can check baby right after birth. We already have one (form our first baby) you can ask around your friends and decide accordingly.

Paeditrician

Hello Jichi,

When we went for our hospital tour as well as in our lamaze class we've been informed its good to select our Paeditrician a month ahead of the due date. The hospital will call your chosen Paeditrician as soon as/before the baby is born and they will do a complete checkup of the newborn - this in case of a normal delivery. In case of a C-section or any high risk delivery the Paeditrician will be present during the actual delivery so that they can examine the newborn ASAP.

We have decided our pediatrician.You are right we have to choose the pediatrician now.As before delivery we can go and talk to him/her and feel that he/she is right doctor from baby.
Mostly pediatrician welcome such visit and they are mostly free visit.
Moreover if your pediatrician is affiliated to same hospital in which you are going to deliver, then he/she can come after delivery and check the baby.
