Name: hi How soon any one has travelled and relocated to new city after C-section. My husband made me relocate in 40 days in US and even argued I should not be tired saying what is big deal in C-section. I feel so bad for my husband not even agreeing I will be tired.
Do people agree with me it takes a while to recover from Csection? Please post your views.

Everybody is different so everyone' s recoverytime is different but not less than 2-3 month. I had C-section and it took six month for me to recover. I use to get tired very easily and had pain and burning sesation near incision. Try to Take rest as much you can . don' t over do it. You know your body nobody else and you make sure to care for your self. I didn' t had to move but my inlaws kept telling me all the time that now a days everybody goes through c-section and it is not big deal and I had to listen all those crap. Ritika replied. In cases like these, take your husband with you when you go for your post natal visit to your ob gyn. The doctor should be able to knock some sense in your husband...

You could also take printouts of a few articles (about how long it takes to recover from delivery) and give it to him to read (or email him if that works better).

Even the insurance companies (and they are a hardy lot in the US who DO NOT like giving out money) say that it takes 8 weeks to recover from C-Section...and thats the very minimum...

In reality it takes a few months (more like 5-6) to get back to normal...I read somewhere that giving birth is like having run a 50 mile marathon! Also if you are nursing, that also causes a lot of fatigue because your body is doing extra work...

Moving house is very stressful...I cannot even imagine HOW you did it so soon after giving birth! and that also a C-Section!!

Most women are forced to go back to work soon after delivery or forced to work at home since they do not have an option...That DOES NOT mean that they have fully recovered!!

C-Section is major suregry...ask your husband how long it will take for him to recover if his stomach was cut open...!!

dont be depressed

Hi..

Dont worry ..i moved from NJ (secaucus) to NY (Albany) after 2 months of my c-section and then after 4 months of my second c-section , we moved from USA to India with 2 kids and all luggage.
You have stated that u have relocated already so now it has been done.Dont argue with ur husband on that but let him know he is underestimating c-section.Next time dont forget to take him along with you in all Lamhaze classes.
