i was heart felt to read your stories of being abused by husband physically .ladies i know it is a tough decesion but remember once in olden days there was a stupid sati pratha where widowed wives were burned with husbands .there is a story that 18 women refused for this custom ..they were socially out cast ..but it is because of those 18 women that today we are out of this custom .
ladies you have to draw line some where how much is tollerable .living in country like usa there are various organisations helping physically abused women .and remember a call to 911 can really put your husbands in line
i know it is not easy ...what will happen to kids,money,expenses etc ....but u know when we step out in sun we get courage to bear the heat .
please dont let your kids watch this voilence and assume that this is normal way of life.
you are not only the one who is affected u are also silently affecting your kids.

In this message board, women (and some times men) try to help other women...If you are being abused by your wife, pls give more details so that we can give you our perspective or offer some help...

Your view seems to be \" one woman wronged me. So ALL woman are bad and I' m going to make fun of any woman who says she has been abused\" . How mature is that??!!
Men replied. I am not saying that I am an \" Ideal husband\" . And there is nobody ideal in this world. And abusing isnt always physical. Its emotional abusing thats dangerous. Men cant be abused physically probably. But he can be abused emotionally commenting about lot of things. Well, you believe or not, but there are men, who are abused by thier wives. And the way i have got comments in this post, I am 100% sure that u wives are nothing but very abusive, who dont have mind to understand anything and would write whatever they think, pity on ur hubbies. Also, if you guys read TOI, u' d come across few (not many) cases where men has been abused by wives. Thats what happening to indian men also. I doubt if any white men would tolerate this.

Thanx, I didnt mean to say that all woman are wrong becoz one woman did something wrong to me. Well in my case, my wife is having a friendship with her ex-lover (lover befor marriage). And I have been telling her not to talk to that particular guy since last three months, but she is still continuing talks, I dont know, if she had anymore relationship. Well, whenever we have talk regarding this, she just complained that she & her parents chose a guy from north delhi, though she wanted to marry a guy from south delhi, she did a mistake & she offers me that if i wanna continue any frndship with my ex, she doesnt have any problem, then why shud I. she says I am narrow-minded, though I have never questioned when some male is giving her lift to/fro office, or she is coming late from any office party etc. or so. I am just having problem or we just have fight when she has some talk with her ex, which I check from her cell bill & my telephone bill.
I dont think, its any high expectation. When I say, if she has done any mistake, she is more than welcum to break it, she doesnt even do that. When I asked her why she didnt marry that guy, if she wants to talk to him on every alternate day or so, he was not good status at that time. I am not able to take a decision even on having a child even after 2 years of marriage, though she wants to have a child, and I cant give my child to a lady, who doesnt even undrestand her responsibility towards her hubby, or u can say I dont trust, if she is matured enough to handle the child. Her comments are continuous whenever i am angry on talk with her ex. Tell me what s solution to this lady, when she doesnt want divorce.

I understand your pain. It is right on your part to question her about her communication with her bf. You are absolutely right. Please talk to her, make her understand. If she does not listen to you, then you have to take a firm decision. Do you think you can continue the rest of your life with a wife cheating you? Will your marriage life be of any happiness or peace to you in this condition? Talk to her that both cannot live in this relationship, and try to get a mutual divorce. Nothing else would solve your problem. She cant be continuing this affair of hers. I really wish you peace and happiness. Be firm.

My Husband is not abusive, but O God, so goddamn busy and self centred ... as though he does a whole lot of worthwhile work and I jst sit at home and twiddle my thumb, never mind the task of single handedly bringing up a three yr old kid !! ......
