Nurseries and Schools:What to do,need an urgent response.

I am fron delhi.I couldn' t send my son aged 5yrs now(he turned 5 this november) to school this year due to some personal problems.He did go to a preschool and hsd done his pre-nursery and nursery.Now that i want to send him ,am not able to decide whether to send him to standard I in the new session of 2009-2010 or should send him right away if possible to a prep or UKG as some schools call,OR, should i get him enrolled in a prep in the new session.
He was a good student at his nursery school and has been studying at home a bit and has progressed, but since he has been at home for the last 8 months,am not able to decide what would be the best route of action for my son.

All or most delhi schools are following the criteria of 5+ kids in standard I and 4+ kids in prep and 3+ in Nursery.
My kid turns 5 yrs 5months on 1st April,so am unable to decide.
Kindly help me in deciding what would be good for him.To get him enrolled in standard I now or in Prep for the new session.
