Sleeping:My baby doesn't know to sleep on his own
2004-07-22
Name: Worried Mom

My baby boy soon going to be a year old doesn't know to sleep in his own. We need to make him sleep and then put him in the crib!
Once he starts to sleep he sleeps thru the night with one time waking up (for feed) in the early morning and goes back to sleep if I put him on the bed next to me. If I put him back in crib he cries, and now as he can stand up he stands up by holding on the side bar and cries to be picked up.

The worst part is when we make him sleep, he rubs his eyes like anything with his hands. I feel painful to watch this when ever he does that to go to sleep.

Any ideas/ suggestions to overcome this. Pls. share. Thanks!

Sleep Problem due to itchy skin
My baby girl is unable to sleep properly due to skin rashes. I have resumed oil massages to help calm her down and facilitate better sleep, using CITTA Baby Massage Oil. Additionally, I am applying the ointment recommended by her doctor for the rashes. Could you please provide me with more ideas that can promote better sleep for her?... - Sanchari Tarafdar [View Message]

RE:How to Develop a Sleep Routine for your Newborn
According to me this is good but then you cannot force your child to sleep as per your wish as kids as really bad in this and they have a tendency to sleep in day and get up in late night so according to me this is not the key to success, please post if i am wrong.... - Anita [View Message]
