Hey guys, I have my 1-hr glucose test on the 18th of Aug. I would appreciate any suggestions from ya'll on passing the test. I am not a sweet tooth kinda person but I have been eating a lot of fruits..

Thanks guys for all your input. I was thinking the same too about controlling my diet in anyway. It is better to eat as usual and see how it turns out.

Ruchika, since I am not too fond of photography (when it comes to me being the subject) I never invested in buying a digital camera and I dont have access to a scanner, but now that a baby is due to arrive we thought we would buy the camera this weekend and post my picture too but I was too lazy to go out. So, soon.......... :)

Radhika, things are going alright for me with pains (back and pelvic) now and then. Thanks for asking. Hope you are doing alright too..

Vandana, my doc said and I quote \";plan to spend an hour here on your next visit\"; so I assume, she expects me to stay there.....

Mine is on 22aug. Doc told me nothing special to do before the test. and I am not taking any precautions.

I am going to go with what all I eat probably but just before lunch.

Hope you must be doing fine. Hey you did not load your picture ?

Hey Avi,

Havent taken the test as yet (next week), but I think it's better that we take the test with no changes to our usual diet, so we know for sure if any measures need to be taken to control anything.

My two cents there....

Hi Avi

I too have my test in 2 weeks. My Doc's told me not to eat anything sweet on the day of the test and fast for 2 hours before the test, other than that maintain a normal diet. I agree with Radhika, its better to test with no changes in your diet so that if any problem exists, it can be detected.
Do you girls know if we need to be at the Doc's office for the entire hour or can we go home and be back? I forgot to ask my Doc abt the procedure.
