Dear Friends
Hi..and how are are u all doing?
Friends...i gave birth to twins and they are little premature ....they are born at 33 weeks and now its their 4th week outside the womb...i'm only going to breastfeed the babies...one is somewhat drinking milk from breast and other is small baby...cannot latch on...so i pump the milk for both and give them both breast feeding and breastmilk in the bottle.....what should i do for the small baby to latch on...and most important is: my milk flow is little less now...what diet should i eat to increase the quantity and quality of the breast milk....since i'm in lot of stress...i'm feeling that i may be unable to produce milk...so pl. suggest me what to eat daily to have a healthy breastfeeding....
I need to produce more milk for my two babies...so pl. suggest...

the more you nurse/pump the more milk you will produce... apart from that take care of yourself ...
-- get plenty of rest i can imagine it must be lot of work with twins ... i hope u have help .. its important to relax and take naps whenever u get a chance
-- eat a balanced diet ... drink sufficient fluids
-- methi seeds increase milk production .. soak few methi seeds and have it with food ... garlic is good too ... add plenty of garlic to your cooking...
-- for the baby thats not latching on ... have u tried different positions... try holding in the football position it might help ... keep trying eventually it will latch on ... visit www dot kellymom dot com for more info

Dear Bala ,
congratulations and wish you all the best in taking care of needs of two babies ! Please remmeber that breast feeding is nature's boon and follows a simple demand supply fucntion. The more your baby suckles , the more the hormones will produce milk . However, here are a few tips to keep the milk supply :
1. A balanced healthy diet with calcium supplements . Have lots of fruits, vegetables, milk, fruit juices, buttermilk and water . Fluid intake is a must .
2. Specific things liek cumin seeds, garlic are known to pep up the milk production , so incorporate them in your cooking as much as possible .
3.Ayurvedic pills like \"; Lactaire \"; and 'Shatavari Kalp\"; are also effective . Lactaire was recommended to me by my gyneac in the initial days and it was very effective. Its safe and has no side effects .
4. A relaxed and positive mindset . Stress plays havoc with the hormones and restricts milk supply .

According to my gyno, I have some special hormones due to which i can easily lactate and due to that my motherly instincts are extremely high. I was lactating until 1 yr back & I still can induce if i want to breastfeed anyone.
