After a lot of search for Housemaid and Nanny for my one year old son, I have finally found a 3o years old male who has worked as Housemaid with a family in South Delhi. As per feedback from his earlier employers, he is fully trained in household work, right from cooking, washing, cleaning, dusting etc and as competent as a female maid. He also acted as Nanny for their 9 years old son for 2 years, but he has no experience in Baby Care. He assures that he will be able to take care of baby and looks very positive about it.

Does any body has experience with Male Baby Carer/Nanny? Was he able to take care of Baby well? Please help me by sharing your experience with Male nanny/Housemaid. Any advice or comments are also solicited.
Priya replied. I dont think a male maid can take care of such a small baby n moreover u cannot trust males. even ladies face problems in tackling with such small kids than we cannot imagine what a male person can do. i suggest pls find a female person for yur kid. sss replied. hi,
i have a male helper at home 24*7.he is near 20 yrs old.he love my baby a lot and play with him.also he do all cookings,go to market etc.he is a big help as i have no relatives around to take care of my son who is now 15 months.actually he came to cook for my hubby when i went to my parents place for delivery.and we continued him even after my return and now he take care of my baby.i was also not confident initially and kept another female nanny for first few months 24*7.but she was not as adjusting and finally she left.now the main sitter for my baby is this boy though i have hired a maid for day time(lady)to help him.i think being a male sitter he has more energy to run behind my son.so i would suggest you to go ahead and see how things work. all the best
