Single Parenting:thousand question unanswered

Name: nidhi kapoor hi everybody,

this is nidhi. i am living seperatly from my husband from last 6 months.he and my in laws were very abusive. i have a 1 year old son.even after facing all his abusive behaviour i still love him. he has filled for divorce so as to save himself from all consequnces he' ll face as i have filled a complaint in crime against women cell.i am really heart broken and want that god could give him some brains and he becomes a loving husband again.but i know my wishes are never gonna be fulfiled.
i know ultimately i' ll be divorced 1 of these days.but i dont want my kid to suffer consequences of the same.i am not working right now but i am planning to work as early as i get a balanced state of mind.
i want to ask all single mothers how do they deal with questions from there kids when they grow up.as my son doesnt even know anything.how should i go about in choosing a surname for him as i dont want him to use his dads surname as my ex husband is least bothered about our child.
plzzzzzzzzzz help me.
