Hi,

My baby girl is 1 year 9 months old, she just speaks ba and ma, kindly suggest how can we improve her speaking skills. Have consulted doctor also where she said that she is absolutely fine but still there is a concern. Kindly suggest what can be done.

Stay calm and don' t be panic. My daughter was 3 when she started speaking whole words and now she is doing great. In fact, her teacher at Orchids International tells me that she is one of the most talkative in her class! Some children need time that is all.

yaah some children start talkling very early and some children take time. my own brother started talking at the age of 5 before that he used to talk just one word baba that it. but he used to talk that word inn diffrent tone which used to make us understand to whome he is addressing. then we had to treat him because 5 yrs was very long time and your daughter is just 9 months old. so don't worry.

my son did not speak at all for first three years. ur baby is normal.

my advice keep talking her through question answers. if u have elders at home request them to stay with u cas grandparents interact a lot with them and that helps in speech development.

Even my sisters daughter is almost your child' s age. dont take tension . your child is little slow nothing else. in my building there was 1 baby girl She started walking at the age of 2. so it happens few kids are fast and few are slow.

Our 28 months old boy is not speaking simple 2 or 3 word sentences yet. He speaks a few words such as mama, papa, aunty etc but definitely not more than 10.
