Hi every one,can anyone pls guide me regarding scottish high school,gurgaon.I wish my 4 year old to start schooling over there.Has anyone got any experiences.Thank you! Zara replied. My sister in law's son studies there in the 4th std and he s quite smart and active. He is an all rounder as he studies well and also takes part in all activities. NN replied. i have not heard about scottish high much but i think you should visit the school when it is about to start and see the types of kids that come to the school and talk to their parents about the school and their experience. So you are going to join your kid in school of scottish high school.Some people will say that this school will be nice or some will suggest say no.But you physically found about the school because your kid is joining and check whether it will be comfortable to her or not. SK replied. Hi there,

I also have my daughter going to Scottish High from past 3 years, however i do not agree with the comments provided by others. Its a real good school and comes in India top 10 category with kids scoring in ICSE boards and excelling in extra curriculum also. Its true that they are very strict which you may call as Attitude and yes there may be some who are actually bad but that does not mean school is bad. I had issues related to my kid's teachers in 1st year of joining and i met the Principal, voiced my concerns which were taken care of and my identity was kept Anonymous. Aint that a good step. Curriculum is vast which CBSE courses cannot simply match. I work from Noida and my husband from Gurgaon and we have checked all schools and i could not find any of them better. Yes there is Swimming, Arts, Dance, singing, Horse-riding n other sports and they put equal emphasis on Education. As someone, said if you have money to throw. Its called Investing in your child's growth even if its any 3rd class school because every one has his own limits. And here you are talking about Scottish High. Investing in Child's education and growth is never wastage or throwing money. World is as you see it. Second, saying that atleast they will learn Horse Riding. Yes they will but do you know how to ride a horse. Ofcourse not!!! Its also a talent and ppl putting there kids in Scottish high are not fools and the result shows that kids are not too.
One more thing, its not just the school who is responsible for Child's Intelligence. Its you as a Parent too. Let me ask you some simple questions:
Whats the national flower? I know you immediately said Lotus. Easy one right!!!
Now tell me whats the national tree, national fish, national plant, national river etc.
You dont know i am sure about that but you know what my 5 yr old knows all these answers. You know why because i teach my kid.

Hope you would have got the point that i am trying to make and that my kid does not just learn to ride a horse.

And yes, one last thing, my kid knows how to plot a map on x-axis n y-axis at 5 and it was taught to her in Scottish. :-)

Just like any other responsible parent, I went around doing my school hunting research very carefully and I have come to a conclusion that Scottish High is more hype than substance. Your kid may learn a few extra curricular activities but if you are looking to develop him/her into a good human being, this is not the school for you. The policies are not clear and transparent. \" Attitude\" is written all over them. They somehow feel that they are too superior to lesser mortals. They are doing a huge favor to you and your kid if they take you (at a huge fees, of course). Everyone right from the receptionist to senior management is a snob. There have been some changes in the management lately which have adversely affected the quality of education there. Academics are okay but the school, overall, is more of a commercial enterprise than a value oriented one. So, if you have lot of money to throw and you don' t care much about the internal development of the child, get him/her admitted to Scottish High, by all means. They will definitely learn to ride a horse, at least.
