i' m new to this board & this is my 1st message.hope i receive some help here.i' ll be 37 weeks in other 2days.
my worry is i took tetanus shots when i was 2 weeks pregnant.i did not even know that i was pregnant then.i had to take those shots due to immigration purpose.when i asked the person who was giving me tetanus shots that i might be pregnant she said its ok to take during pregnancy.so i took it very early in my pregnancy during 2nd week .
now i' m getting very scared if it will harm the baby in any way as i took the shots in 1st trimester.so i' m even more scared as in 1st trimester we should be very careful & not take any risks.
can anyone please tell me whether the tetanus shots is ok to be taken so early in pregnancy?should i worry that my baby will be harmed in any way.plz help.as days are approaching i' m crying & getting very scared about this.i have no one to talk to.plz help Asmi replied. Hey tina,

You are going thru the jittery patch every mom to be goes thru b4 pregnancy. I am going thru the same and I find myself worrying about Baby' s proper growth. with you, it is this injection.

Mothers always worry about what might go wrong. :)

Relax. Taking TT is no harm at all. One of my relatives delivered a healthy baby boy after going thru a XRAY scan in first trimister. so donn worry. Think positive. manisha replied. hi tina
hey i do not think that there is any harm in taking tetanus shots during pregnancy....i know that if you are in India then they recommend these shots as soon as you know that you are pregnant so i think it is fine even if you took them in the first trimester. it looks and sounds fine to me you can even talk to your doctor about this. that would be the best thing to do i think. good luck.
