My son who's now 4.5 months old, has not been feeding well since past couple of weeks. Also, when I mentioned the symptoms to the laction center here (my nipples feel a burning sensation after & during feeding & baby pulls himself off the breast nor takes the bottle), they said that I might be having a yeast infection of the nipple & my son also might have thrush. They have prescribed Gentian voilet dye & an all purpose nipple ointment, but I wanted to know if there's a home remedy (indian remedy) to treat the same. Does any one know of saffron use for thrush?

as per prev reply use cabbage leaves and use nipple sheild or a small machine (to take milk from breast) avail in medical store that act as protective shield above breast and child can easily sucks as it suck breast.(use till ur sore get normally).This used to fastly get remedy of ur nipple and after u give milk direct thru breast as usual. poonam replied. You may use cabbage leaves. Put one cabbage leaf on the breast and replace this with new one after an hour. It will treat you. I have used this. All the best.
