Hi! My son will be completing 3 in Feb and hence would be eligible for admission in Montessori as well as nursery next year. I am confused with the system of education. Which is a better system of education - the conventional nursery/kindergarten or the montessori system of education. If I want to change my son from montessori to kindergarten after 1 year, how will the transition be for him? Will he be able to cope up easily or will there be some problems? Please help me with this .

Just see to it that he is been given necessary attention which can be given only if there are less students in the school. NN replied. I would suggest you to follow the conventional way of education only for your child as most of the schools and colleges follow them and you would not be wanting any complication in the future during admission of your child. So you are in state of confusion that education system will be problem to your kid so that you are able to join your kid in the school but which ever system you choose you need to set it from first only so that there will not be so hard for your kid. Megha replied. Hello radhika,
Which would be better for your kid you chose it accordingly. But regarding school you need to be careful because we cannot trust teachers how does they take care of children also.You need to check environment of school. vikas replied. I think the system that encourages activity based learning can be good at this age.A mixture of both will be helpful for your son. Ratnesh replied. If any \" method\" was better - then all would have moved to it. The method is less important than the people who implement it. In fact i would be personally cautious of people / schools who tout one method as substantially superior over another.
I would look for other things in a school - like transparency and openness of the team, letting parents observe a day, information shared with parents, flexibility in the approach to accommodate for individual differences and so on. Many people look for infrastructure and et impressed by what they see. More than physical infrastructure i woudl look for the kind of teaching staff - their perceptions, training etc. mom1 replied. I think the system that encourages activity based learning can be good at this age. Montessori will be good but you are right many children face problems later on when they join regular schools. My sisters son goes to \" Sparrows\" preschool. She is happy with the way preschool is going on for her son. According to her they take a simple way of teaching many complex things. Kids love it and enjoy it so much that her son wants to go there on weekends also.
I am not sure what are your preferences but I hope this might help.
