My son is 14 month old now. He is a very active baby.My worry is that he has been drooling a lot since he was 12 months old but has not yet got any teeth as yet. He hates any chunky foods & wont eat it. His immediate response is to spit it out.His food has to be ground in a mixer coarsely. He has slowly started eating cheerios but doesnt show any interest in trying any new foods. He loves curd a lot though.
Another concern is his speech. He keeps babbling a lot but hasnt spoken much. He understands everything we talk to him but his only words are \";dah-dah\"; & mostly what he tries to say ends up with a \";Tah\"; & \";Dah\";.
Please advise as I am very worried.
Raji replied. My daughter is 1 year, she does not have any teeth yet. We could see some white hard spots appearing on her gums since 6 months. Might be teeth. But sometimes it disappears.. Ped has given Calcium suppliments. We did not ask specifically about it.. but he says milestones are ok.. As you say it might just be late. She is very active standing and walking with support.. understands what we say.. She says \";ah-tha\";, \";amma\"; & \";ajja\"; (we are mallus) and all.. i also have 14 months daughter n dint had her teeth yet.i took her to her ped she says teething period is anytime between 8 to 16 months or if still its not popping up then she had to be taken to ped dentist who slit their gums.few babies are late.lets hope for best.actually its herediatry also,my sis got her teeths whn she was 18 months , n her 2 sons whn they were 15 months.

about talking she also babbles same way.so nothing to worry.babies has short memories.so dont worry he will start talking give him time n be patience.since he is active then nothing to worry.
