Hello, I need some help calculating exactly which month is running for me. This may sound little stupid question but I am little confused as doctors say there are all together 40 weeks.

I am in my 21st week and it will complete on this Sunday i.e 17,Oct. Now can anyone tell if this is my 5th month running or 6th month running.

My Last Menstrual date is May 15th.

I am Vns from the march board. Anyways, pregnancy is usually calculated as per weeks. As uer doctor calculated total period is 40 weeks of pregnancy.
Since u have completed 21 weeks, u are into uer 6th month, that is 6th month running for u.U can calculate by dividing the number of weeks u are in or completed by 4. For e.g. u have now completed 21 weeks, thus, 21/4=5.2 something. This means that u have completed 5 months and into uer 6 months. Hope this helps u out in calculating in the future.

Yes, pregnancy is always calculated from first day of uer LMP(last period). Though one concieves only after 2 weeks or so. That is again basically to make calculation of EDD easily - 40 weeks calculation from the first date of uer LMP.
