hope all the kids are doing well.sorry for gate crashing in to ur oct 2003 forum.am a member of sep 2004 n have a baby girl named Padmasri who is going to be 10 mths soon.
y problem is her weight.she was around 3.7 kgs at birth but later contacted diarhea when she was abt 4 months n tokk over 1.5 months to recover.she weighed only 7.7 in her 9mth chck up and 6.7 in 6th month and was agood 5.7 in 3rd month.how much ever i feed her, she is not gaining weight.i don know if am uner feeding her or over feeding her.i give her cerelac 3 times(5 to 6 scopps each time) mixed with milk instead of water,then rice+dhals+potato+carrot+curd+coconut oil+curds once and jus 1 tbsp of ragi kanji.am i feeding her properly.pls as experienced moms can u pls tell me schedule n what all to feed her.

Hope u will surely reply..i already posted my query in feeding borad but no response...hope u ppl will surely help me..

Radhika replied. If she is eating fine and peeing and diapers all fine,is active, do not worry.

Some kids are like that..maybe u .husband can eat all they want and not gain weight..same with kids

As long as they are active and healthy and growing..its fine, maybe not plumper as others.

As for diet, at 10months u can add ghee to diet to add weight, can give anything u think is good fat to babies.
can move from cerelac too, if baby prefers whole food, sweets, starch anything.

Mash it up thoroughly if teeth are not many.

Don't worry..or force. Child knows their appetite and food needed too well.
