Hi

I was working before my child was born. I left my job abt 2.5 yrs back to take care of my child. People i used to work with ask me to try for a job soon as a long gap would mean that i have lesser chances of getting a job.
I am really undecided as to what to do. I just can' t imagine leaving the child in some daycare while i slog in the office all day. will i have the energy to come back home and spend time with my child and what is going to be the impact on the child etc. My child is very active.
I am really confused and disturbed but feel that i should try to work as i have given enough gap too.

i m also facing the same problem, my son is 4yrs now, and going to school, we stay in uk, i ve seen many kids do enjoy in day care while their parents work, but personally i don' t prefer it, i think no day care can give ur child proper guidance as a mother, mother is the best teacher....but we can' t ignore how a family struggles now a days while we are taking abt the expenses and cost of living, i m working in my son' s school for a part time, helping them in their news letter and web site in tht way i can work as well as taking good care of my son....may b next yr when he will b going for a full day school i can manage things in a better way, so i will suggest u can start part time, but when u r with ur son give him complete attention in tht way ur working will not affect him.......and make sure ur husband and other family members give u full support.....
