My son is in Senior KG, and he is full of energy. Teacher punishes him everyday as he completes his classwork a little late by making sit on the floor. He is asked to sit on the floor and complete his work. How should I handle this ? I did meet the teacher..did not help, also parents can say only to a certian extend. we all live in the fear of not let teacher go against our child.
This scholl is one of the good school in Mumbai

my son is 5.5 yrs he is now in senior kg. he too is a very naughty boy. very restless.during his lower class he was asked to sit near the blackboard on a specail chair to the right of the teacher.when i met the teacher she says this place is good for my son as he is not distracted by others nor dose he distract others.
my son is not bothered or to say he is not feeling bad due to this seat. so i did not give it much a thought. but as a mother i was upset and worried felt bad for him .now he has changed a lot. he understand the seriousnous of the circumstances. my advise is leave it to the teachers unless the child feels bad or it affects his mental and phy. growth.then you need to interveen. kids learn to grow faster than we all did.

You should speak to the teacher. You need to be very balanced while talking to them as it is possible that they might be a little defensive.
Rgd the susu, you need to tell the teacher that you need her help and that you are trying to toilet train your baby..Ayama must take her to toilet more frequently.

Rgd the food dont worry too much about it. if you think it is fine to give her tiffin then do so. Hey dont even think that anyone hates your baby..this might be a growing phase for her, she will be fine.

Subject:  complaints from school... hai could u help

You two have discussed punishments from teacher for your kids. My problem too is about trouble at school but of a different kind. I thought you can give some advice on this to me.
My daughter who is 2 yrs 8 months goes to a montessori from this month. Earlier she used to go to a play school and was cheerful there. I never got much complaints from that play school regarding her taking food or about wetting her pants.
Here in this school everyday i hear complaints from her teacher saying she doesn´ t eat her snacks and i have to give something more interesting as she asks them to feed her. The teacher says we have other children to take care of and we cannot feed her. I give her dosa, upma, chappathi etc which she normally likes. She doesn´ t take breakfast in the morning and hence i send such things. And then the ayamma will have a complaint everyday that she wetted her pants.
I really feel like crying everyday as other kids don´ t seem to be getting any complaints. I really have started feeling that these people have started hating my daughter because it has become a regular habit with the teacher and ayamma to complain about her eating and peeing in her pants.

My daughter never tells for susu but would do if i take her to the bathroom. That way i make sure she never wets her pants at home. But in school probably they expect her to tell and are not taking her to the bathroom at regular intervals. I cannot talk much to the teacher and ayamma as i don´ t want my child to be affected at school and we have paid heavy admission fees. What to do ?

How is the best way to deal this and what is the best way to talk to the teacher and ayamma ?

Thanks for your response. It was indeed a very helpful. I did speak to the teacher and have also extended my help if in anyway I can be on any help to the teacher. Probably you are right we as parents need to slow down a bit when we get to know that our child is being punished regularly. My son is also 5.5 yrs old, and he is the only child..he is little aggressive with other kids a times, not wanting to hurt them but kids do not always apprecaite his style. Any suggestion on that will be helpful. I am a working mother :(

RE:What Toddlers Should Be Learning?
Toddlers are at a crucial stage of learning, where foundational skills for life are being developed. At Skillmatics, we believe toddlers should be learning cognitive abilities like problem-solving, memory building, and recognition of shapes, colors, and patterns. Language development, motor skills, and social-emotional growth are equally important during these years.
