my first TBPCR was positive but i was in denaial then and got another one done this one was negative. even then i was started on treatment. now after 9 months of treatment i dont know if there is any test which can definitely say that i dont have TB anymore. because even after the negative test i was put on med Raveena replied. i was patient of infertility for 3 yrs.during laparoscopy my dr saw few tubercles on both fallopian tubes and found out that both tubes were blocked.i was shocked to hear such report cause i had my HSG before 1 yr back that time both tubes were open.
my dr started with anti tb RX for 6 months based on my reports.my IgG was negative and TB IgM was weakly positive.TBPCR was negative.

in dec 05 TB rx was over.Hsg was done in jan found that both tubes were open. my dr also told me to check my IgM over here.but in US they do not recommend this test to anybody as TB is not prominent in US compared to india.

my RE did refer me to TB specialist for proof that TB is cured.my tb specialist told me that there is no test which will confirm that TB is cured.she told me that since only TB igm was weakly positive we will assumed that it is cured in 6 month RX.even this was the suggestion from my Family physician.

later on in march in all these Stress i conceived naturally .till today i am fine.my baby is fine too.i am due on 30 nov 06.

if u are in india your other test regarding tb cured or not will be done .
even my other friend had TB and after RX she conceived thru IUI.
so be positive take TB RX properly and wait for 2 cycles as said by archie and then go ahead.

give about 2 cycles after discontinuing medicines and see if all is gone by check up. Then you can start ttc in brand new year 2007.

hi raveena,
thanks for sharing your story with me. it feels so good to meet people who admit that they have had some problems. really like this board. otherwise people always pretent or like to pretend that life is perfect even if it is not so. and try to avoid you even if you mention a problem.

HSG

Hi - I have had a similar experience - I was detected with TB one fallopian tube badly affected and little but on uterus during laproscopy they couldnt see the other fallopian tube clearly so dont knw the extent of damage but I got 9 months intensive treatment - am planning to undergo HSG - very soon and try for kids - Do you guys think HSG can help in clearing any minor blockages if any? I was so shaken by the whole episode so havent used any other means of protection from preganancy so far except condoms..
