Due Date Club July 2005:Bhairavi regarding alphabets

Hi Bhairavi, I got these alphabet magnets and put it on the fridge. Whenever I am cooking Savir comes to the kitchen and takes one by one and I would tell him. He repeats after me in his language and thats how he learnt all the alpahabets. Then I bought alphabooks(baby einstein is good). I got it from target When I ask him to take G book he picks it up and give it to me. He does it with all the alphabets. That is how he became familiar with alphabets. The magnets also had numbers. He learnt numbers as well.

Thanks Smile, Sheetal and Anitha for all the tips.. My dd knows the sounds of many alphabets like if I say 'A', she says so.. and she says many of the alphabets.. But she doesnt recognize as I didnt teach her that. Same with numbers.. she knows the concept of numbers, does counting, but doesnt recognize '1' '2'.. like that..After reading your all posts, I decided to start teaching Nikku alphabets seriously.. and in couple of times since morning she has already learnt 'A'. Now she is pointing to 'A'. I too have those alphabet and number magnets, alphabet board books and vtech alphabet town. But didnt use them till now.. Now will take them out and use them.. I liked the idea of teaching while potty training.. will do that too..:)
love to all kids,
Bhairavi.

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
