First of all congrats on birth of baby son.My experiences were also similar to yours.Married for 8 years when i conceived my daughter through ivf.Tried 3 attemps of ivf, 4 iui before i conceived.My daughter is 4 years old now and now she keeeps asking fo a sibling. i also feel like having another.All my friends are also having 2nd one(they don't know my full story).But i don't feel i will have another child after all the hardship in conceiving one child.My question to u and all other sucessful ivfs is, will u be happy with just one child.What about the child.Will she/he ok to be an only child? .What will u tell ur child if he/she asks for sibling.?Should i try again?

thanks a lot for your wishes. well....i can understand your concern. if age & health permitting there is no harm in trying to conceive naturally again. i don't know what was your cause of infertility, but i have a friend who had a son thru ivf & has now conceived again naturally. if you can afford it financially & mentally you can go thru the treatment again.
for me it too soon to think abt it again as he is only 6 1/2 mts. also mentally right now i don't hv the strength to go thru it again.
just an idea, pls don't get offneded. you can also try adoption. there are many couples who hv adopted 2nd child. the decision is entirely yours. don't be bothered by what friends or relatives say. know what just a week after my delivery people were asking what plans for 2nd one!!!!

It felt good to read ur reply.We have unexplained infertility problem.For some reason we cannot conceive naturally.Your friend is lucky to conceive naturally again.Your idea of adoption is worth thinking but i live abroad and don't have any support system in the sense of knowing people who have adopted so we can share experiences.I guess i should be happy that i could have my own child.So many people try ivf and never succeed.Best wishes to u.
