Hi guys,
I want to write something about speech. Each kid is different. Some kids talk before 1, some kids talk a little later than 2. In India I have heard kids who started talking at the age of 4. My husband cousin is a doc here. He talked to me about this 2 weeks back. He asked me not to worry even if the kid doesn't talk at the age of 3. If the ped asks whether the kid tells 25 words in 2 years, blindly say yes. Because speech therapy is a torture for both the kids and the parents. One of our friends kid who is now 4 yrs. has been going to speech therapy, he is going to 3 different schools. One is the regular school, the other 2 schools are for his therapy. His mom told me that they r going thru' unnecessary tension each day. I would say not to worry. it is just that the kids will take some time. Even Savir doesn't say anything clear. I am thinking of putting him in a day care soon(atleast twice a week). They say the kids will pick up words faster when they interact with other kids. That is my opinion. Anyways, goodluck.
