My daughter is not drinking any fluids these days. No formula, no water, no pedialyte. I BF her when I'm at home, since I'm staying home these days, she wants to feed from me all the time. I don't hv enough milk to feed her, still she wouldn't take bottle after she finishes bf. She won't drink from bottle even while falling asleep. I don't know what to do. On top of it she has nasal congestion, she cries so much to take bottle, it gets worse so I can't even force her. Doc says drinking is more important than eating. I tried sippy cup, different bottles, etc. Nothing is working out. I don't hv anyother person here to give her bottle. Please help me soon...

She is okay with eating that too getting picky abt the taste. With lot of effort she tries her regular cereals, eats very little. Eating and drinking both hv come down so much. Also she misses my mom n feels more insecure. I'm worried she will get dehydrated in this summer weather. I'm so worried... Mom to be replied. Try giving some formula using spoon while you feed cereal. Give her 2 spoons of cereal and then 1 spoon of formula or water. This way, she may like the taste and resume to drinking. Also when you or your husband drinks coffee or juice or water, keep her by your side, just pour one spoon of water/formula in a tumbler and offer it to her to drink. First it would be fun for her, she may pour it on herself, but then she will start liking it.
Don't worry. When she is sucking, she will get enough breastmilk from you.
My son doesn't drink from bottle at all. He hates it. So I give him water or formula in spoons while i give him cereal and breastfeed every hour or two just for a couple of minutes, so that he can quench his thirst in this horrible summer.
