Sorry for late reply - just saw ur msg.

From my exp with vaporizer and humidifier, i would strongly recommend vaporizer.

Initially we used to use humidifier for my DD, but someone suggested us vaporizer and we tried it. It is really much better than humidifier.

Things I liked in vaporizer over humidifier-
1.It creates hot vapors and whole room is full of vapors in less that 30 mins. You can actually see vapors poping out, and also the moisture on windows.
2. You do NOT need to switch on heater, as it heated vapors warm the room.
3. You can add vicks liquid in it so that it relieves nasal congestion faster.
4. You need NOT keep it near baby’s head to get more effect like humidifier. You can place anywhere in the room and still get the safe effect.
5. No wet n messy carpet like many of humidifiers.
