I am new to this group and kind of worried about something and thought I should share with you. This morning I observed some brown mucus like discharge when I wipped myself after urinating. I called the advice nurse and she says as I donot have any other symptoms like back pain, tightening of stomach, fever, chills etc I should be fine. I any case she wants to perform a ultrasound tomorrow. I am worried and don't know what to do. Just wanted to know if anybody else faced the same at this later stage of pregnancy.

I am back from my u/S and the doctor said everything looks normal, the baby's gestational age, growth, heartbeat etc. She was saying that probably it is because of blood vessel rupture, or strain etc. Glad that everything is fine. Discolored discharge if not excessive, is normal and not to be concerned about. Sometimes dried spotting happens when it is around the time of menstral cycle. But like the nurse said, if no other symptoms are there, not to be alarmed.

I am from the Oct Board. I have had a drop of blood coming out at 13 weeks and then at 23 weeks or so(after the u/s coz the technician pressed the cervix a bit). Doc told its common and its ok if u see a drop or little bit of discharge, doc said maybe some blood vessel burst or something. Anyway listen to ur doc advice and good luck.
