I am glad the potty seat thing is working for you. She sits on it gladly, but has pooped on it just twice. Well, something to start with.

I am worried abt her babbling too. I think I will too consult a speech therapist probably next month when she turns 18 months. Let me know how it goes with Aaroh.

Trisha is also in the same boat like Anu and Aaroh. She does babbles a lot but no proper word yet. She recently had a Dr app last week, her ped told to wait till her 18 th month orelse till her 18th month checkup. Bilingual kids will take some time.He also told me that being16.5 months old should atleast say 1-2 words. So im worrying a lot.

Also for last 3 weeks shez going to daycare. Aain what i feel is, English is completely new for her now. so far she has heard English lang 90% thru TV.thats it. so i feel shez even more getting confused with lang change. But i dont have any other option other than sending her to a daycare. Also i heard that the more we delay to send her to daycare then the more we are going to suffer due to this separation anxiety. Even now im facing a lot. Its really very tough to send her every morning.
Im really worried a lot in lang confusion for her.
lets wait for another 1.5 months and see whats happening.
Till then keep updating u all.

Hi Sheeja,

OH, i feel a lil better coz I am not alone. I was like, every kid is speaking except Anushka. I am confused, should i call the speech therapist now or wait one more month till she turns 18 months. Though my doc said the therapists are usually very busy, and they'll give an appt like a month later.

Hi

Sorry for not writing earlier.Aaroh is having cough n cold. This is his 3rd in last six month's!He just clings to me the whole day even if he has slight trouble.
For sure I'll update on his speech progress.Wanted to check onething though.Do you send Anushka to childcare/nursery? Lots of people have been suggesting that to fasttrack Aarohs speech thing. For now he goes to small playgroup once a week.I am not back to work yet but am suppose to start one next month. It is good firm, but new job(in new country) demands lots of energy. So am in process of finalising on childcare/nanny for Aaroh.Really confused what will be better for him, specially considering his speech.
Also thinking maybe if I postpond my working for 6-8 months I might be best person to help him pick up language.
Any way let me know if you are trying creative methods.I have started to show him same 10 things(like ball, plate)3 times every day so that same words are repeated to him.
Don't know if it will work.
More later

Take care
love to Anushka

Hi Saral,

I was working from home till sept. Infact I left coz she wuldnt let me do anything and I don't want to leave her in daycare yet. Yes, everyone is suggesting that if she goes and mixes around with more kids, she mite pick up words faster but I personally dont think it will make any difference. Yes, I do want to leave her in a daycare coz she isnt too friendly with other kids, but probably will start that after a few more months.

I do that too....say one word like a 1000 times but she just refuses to try. Its like she understands but doesn't want to.

Wish you luck with your new job. It will tuff in the beginning but I am sure you will adjust fine with everything. I am sure Aaroh will be fine too. I too want to send Anushka for a few hours to a daycare, but I guess in a few more months. Till then, I want to start takin her to little gym and mommy and me classes.

Love to Aaroh, I really like the name Aaroh...

Regds,
Sheetal

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
