Hi All,

Its really quite sometime since I posted.. Laya recovered, but still she is on steroid, that needs to be taken thru nebulizer and its for 30 days. and a good news is now she takes the nebulizer without crying ..otherwise its so much stress for her and for us too..

How is Savir, Nikku, Arjun n Nirja? Hope they are doing good..

Hey priya and Hetal hows ur pregnancy? Hetal , hows it going for u? Last 2 months and that too with a toddler must be tiring..

And Priya, Hows Dylan? Keeping you busy huh??

Smile How was the Newyork trip? Do post ur experience with Savir on flight .. we May hve to travel by december mid, ur tips n experience would help. And how was the thanksgiving parade..Do share some snaps.. would love to see..

I havent still started potty training for laya,I have to.. hope am not delaying.. and laya has taken a set back with her progress , bcos of her health.. How abt the kids when it comes to talking? have they started making snetences, or combingin 2 words..? I think laya is behind when comes to talking, she kind a babbles.. she understands more things, and she is still hooked on to books :) but even reading to her hasnt brought out many words from her..and why i raised this issue is one of my friends , she is also from chennai was telling me that kids talk n make sentences by 14-15 months.

Love to all kids,

Anitha

good to know about laya recovery..cool,,so finally everyone is out in smooth sea...

Nirja is doing better,,her dressng is off and the cut is hardly visible.
pregnancy is all ok,,day seems to be short for me!

about babbling or making sentences,,your friend must be relating to bablng and making sentncs and not the sentences that makes sense ! or sentences without grammer or thr known words or reptitn of same words in form of sentences,,...many kids do that from 14months onwards...

nirja speaks long long sentences,,she speaks one of sensible words that she wants to express(only if she knows) and rest is all blabberng..
like yesday,,she enterd kitchen and all 4 of my stoves/grills were onn,,so i was about to take her out of kitchen before she would open my oven or spill something from above,,,and she started asking for water,,we call it paani in gujarati,,she said paaaniii and a long sentence,,only paani was understood,,rest all was blabblng,,so i gave her but,,she didnt drink,,,,but she cont speaking it,,until i kept her close to our water filter, thn jug, thn tap,,finally she pointd the tap,,i onn it and she leaned forward,,i allowed her as i was curious wat she meant,,she wanted to wash her hands...her hands were clean,,but she wanted to wash them..once washed, she stopped saying it...until her hands were wshed,,she was speaking that whole sentence again and again with only one word that was understood pannnnii,,,repetdly,,it was for me as if,,please stop it...

she often sees me washing hands and thn only coming out of kitchen or before i hold her,,,,,and now this has become her game..today frm mrnng,,in 1 hour, i think she might have asked me to wash her hands almost 4-5times..she is after it,,and it has become an extra activity for me ! just tires me,,because holding her and thn bending forwand so many times,, has become painful for me now,,well,,there goes my complaint as well !
i will wait for 18months to hear something sense out of her sentences,,or else this is not going newhere.

dont worry guys,,,,we still have months to go,,and i am sure you all will be surprised to know how they start speaking,,

we parents always complain n worry about our kids,
when our kids dont speak, we complain they dont speak, we are worried,,,,once they start speaking,,we complain,,that oh my god,,when will they stop speaking !!! :)
so dont worry guys,,our kids arre just fine !

nways,,thats all is going on...lots of love to all lil ones...

Hi there, Good to know that Laya is doing fine. I know it takes some time for them to get back to normal. Savir is doing fine. He is done with his antibiotic for his ear infection.
Our Newyork trip was very good. Savir enjoyed a lot. We went around most of the places. We were there just for 4 days and came back before thanks giving. Savir was ok most of the time. We had a tough time at the airport. We had like 3 hrs lay over in Washington. He wants to run around. He doesn't want to sit in the stroller. He kept walkig and waving to everyone in the airport. Other than that he was ok.
Even I am worried about the talking part. He still blabbers. He says couple of words. He idnetifies all the alphabets as A, he says eye. He says over in our language. For most of the words he uses dha and tha. Like for example he says dha for star. Even though they say that it takes some time, I am bit worried. Lets see. Take care and love to Laya

Hi Anitha good to know about Laya!
Yes Dylan is keeping me really busy he is very active and climbs on the sofa several times in the day. He is brushing his own teeth and saying the letter 1 and AB from abc. he syas alot of words like up and down in our language hi on the phone paapa mamma mummum for food and other words. My pregnancy is going well was a little dizzy last week but gyn has told me to eat more frequent meals in the day because the sugar get low if you dont eat properly.Dont worry about potty training kids do not understand at this age wait until she talks more and for the signs. too early and they will get scared and regress this is what i have heard from others experiences. right now i just want him to drink the sippy for milk at night which is tough work he wants the bottle otherwise drinking juice and water and milk in the day in sippy.
What else is laya doing please let me know. i tried the colouring with dylan but he just wants to eat the crayons so for christmas i am going to get Dylan the aquadoodle so he can draw when he is around 2.

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
