I am a housewife .I take care of household activiies and cook all dishes my husband wishes. My dream was also to be a perfect housewife and take care of my husband only.

But my husband in his mind is not impressed by all these things . He says what is use of cooking each time,instead if go to work it will b nice and we can save some extra money he feels.

Even though i have PG degree i don't have the courage to go to job in US.

Does money only have importance in this world.

I too agree with fd.just try for a part time or flexible job.US is mixture of so many people with many different languages,so many people here dont know english at all.and with large indian population,there wont be any problem.
iam here for the past 5 years.i was also like you very homely before marriage and just had dreams of serving hubby after marriage.but after comming herewith all the facilities here my works are over very soon and there is nothing left to do.so i had a real boring time till i had my kids.now as they are toddlers i have decided i will take up a flexible job,like a receptionist in a clinic,or some other job,so you just have to work for few hrs.and when the kids are big and they go to full time school then i can focus on my carrer.
here it is not even like india where we can hang out with neighbours and friends all day.when it is winter then there is nothing to do.
so just try it go out and you will have a new experience.meeting new people.it will be fun. fd replied. hey dear

If u are educated then whats the harm in giving a try to job...maybe its because of the people and the launguage u seem to have complex.

But tell u what, iN US nobody cares what u talk, wear or anything.

I understand u are a homely girl and it gives u immense satisfation cooking and looking after ur husband.But maybe, ur husband wants a more outgoing wife....and he is just asking u to work....u can do part time work....it will make him happy and even ur self confidence will be boosted.

And definately u can save some money and spend some on urself.....

I think its not something too much he is asking....atleast u should make an effort to try
