Hopw all kids are well. Hope Nirja is feeling better. i suppose best to put studs on them than hoops because they get caught everywhere.

Hi Priya,
Just browsed this site after 4-5 days and came across your post, didn't think will get time to write - busy preparing/packing for the India trip but mostly done with the packing now - leaving on thursday.
You know those big sippy cups with pictures of cars is a big hit with Arjun now a days (he loves cars), I got those from Costco, I think it was a pack of 4 for 12$ or something - a good deal I think? they are spill proof - try those ones with Dylan if you want, Arjun loves those but he never been a bottle fan in anyways. Also he holds his cup and drinks from it. I don't have to bother about making him drink. Once he is done, he just stops drinking and I know he is done.
can't tell you much about sleep as we mostly don't stay out past Arjun's bed-time and when we have to, we let him play past his bed-time, he does't cry and fuss thats a good thing and once in a while we don't mind if he is awake till 10. On regular days he is off to bed between 7:30-8:30pm.

Hi Priya,

I think you shld just throw away the bottles. Give him just sippy cups. There will be times obviously when he will not drink his milk in the sippy, but i think this will be temporary. As soon as he completely forgets that there is a thing such as a bottle, he will take in to the sippy well. Plus, try getting sippy cups with his fav characters. That mite help too. Pretend to drink from the sippy too, so that he sees u and does the same.

Again, for some time, the amt of milk that he drinks with the sippy will be less than wat he drinks with bottle, but thats part of the process.

Regds,
Sheetal

Just an idea. Anushka off lately has taken a fancy to the straw. When v go out, i get her a regular cup with a straw n put some water or juice and she loves to drink frm it. One day, i just gave it her n she started sippin frm it all of a sudden. I even give her mango lassi tht way in an indian restaurant. If u want to try tht with Dylan.

Abt the sleep thing, if i rock her and pat her n if she is sleepy, she'll just sleep. If she is cranky in the carseat coz she is sleepy, i start the dvd n tht way, she stops to cry n then falls asleep. She loves to hold on to her sippy cup. Try sth like tht with Dylan.

Rgs,
Sheetal

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

HI Gayathri,

try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
