Well my urine results came out as -ve coz there was some water infection and they didnt send it for any pregnancy test only. The doc said its a very common infection and gave me amoxillin 250 3times a day for 5 days and suggested to go back again for another test after i finish the course. Though he mentioned that this urine infection has nothing to do with delay of periods or nething.He also mentioned the lower abdominal pain that am having for the past few days mite be something to do with the infection only. so obviously am really sad this was the least i was expecting. however i have decided to do a HPT . can u suggest me of any good ones?
one more thing r u also sure its safe to take this anti-biotics now. i did ask the doc n he said yes still just wanna confirm with u all.
i am really shocked and unhappy yaar.. all hopes gone suddenly..:(( please suggest asap
Just to again remind u the last period i had was on 11th july and was expecting it on 7th due to 27-28 normal cycle

First of all, don't loose any hopes...and most importantly you haven't even got your pregnany test result...so why worry !

When I saw a sad face icon with your message - I was also shocked...I thought may be you got the result and its not what we were expecting thought. But I was relieved to read your message.

I am not sure about the antibiotics...I mean I don't have much idea - so you have to trust your doctor regarding this. If you have any doubt, you can go for a second opinion. Or may be, you can address your query to Archie- she will guide you.

About the HPT brands - go for the digital ones where you can see the result in words like \";pregnant\"; or \";not pregnant\";. I used EPT ( Error Proof Test). I think it is pretty accurate. I have heard of Clearblue easy digital pregnancy test as well. It is also good.

I was just wondering why they took so long to get the result - Is it always that way over there? I was told about my urine test result immediately and for the blood sample- they called me after a few hours. Sometimes, they may take a day for getting the HCG numbers.

Anyways...do an HPT asap and see the result. Lots of lots of luck. Have faith in God.

First of all, don't loose any hopes...and most importantly you haven't even got your pregnany test result...so why worry !

Hi Curious
The medical system in UK is not as briggt as it seems .. it takes them ages to get results. for me my GP i.e medical clinic is my first point of contact . if they cant help me they will refer me to someone. so i gave my urine sample to them who send them to anothet clinic and hence the delay. theoritically i sud have got it by 24 hrs thats wednesday.. but badhe badhe desho mein aise chhote chhote baat hote rahte hai.
neways next time i can give my urine is on Thursday morning . its also difficult to get any second opinion for the medicines today being friday and no docs there on weekends. so for any emergency i have to contact the hospital. sounds quite strange rite?
i will start the dose tonite . if i give them the samples on thursday provided i dont start my periods by that time then the results will come on 29-30th coz next weekend is a long weekend. but yes i will go and search for the brands today that u mentioned..lets hope i can see some results on HPT..
Just wishing all this wait is worthwhile and positive for me.. else ..
