hi, i have seen u guiding many anxious ones....so i write to you and all who could help me in understanding this.
I am 20 weeks preg. but my tummy doesn't show much. I have seen some of the same stage girls and they really look pregnant. mine i think nobody can even make out. although i had 2 nd U/S and doc said everything was normal with the baby growth but why am i not showing????

Secondly i do feel baby kicks/movements sometimes and they are generally near the lower abdomen. i have heard some feel it till the ribs???
i have read in my U/S my placenta position is normal and the doc said the utrine dev is also normal but then why is it not showing??? will have complications later ???
please answer. thnks

all is normal.
to show or not to show is individual aspect and no one shoudl worry on that. as long as u/s shows normal fetus growth then all is fine. If pregnancy was judged on how mother-to-be looks then u/s would not have been used:)
it's ok to feel baby in lower abdomen or around naval line. You will get to see in ribs in later stages of third trimester not now.

My mother and mother in law also tells me it has nothing to be concerned about but u know i am a 1st time preg and when i look to all girls in my ante natal class, i find it's only me who is not bloted.....anyhow... i 'll try and not to think about it. thanks again . pooja

So long as your baby is feeding, that' s all that really matters. These days, formulas are packed with everything the baby needs, and although it is never as good as breast milk, it' s perfectly fine.
