Hi,
My Periods were due on 7th.. its generally a 26-28 day cycle max. last period i had was on 13th July. but still today i havent got my periods.. i have been TTC for few months as well.. have given my urine sample for test and am expecting results on friday.. am quite nervous actually. past few days am feeling ver low.. there is always a drowsiness and tiredness and a bit of a stomach cramp since day before yday..
all i wanted to know is do u think its possible to detect any thing so early ..what r the chances of the urine test being positive,, if its not then what sud i do next?

Hey don't worry yaar....just be cool. I have been there, so I know exactly how it feels. But any type of tension and nervousness won't help in this state.

I guess its too late in UK, otherwise I would have advised you to go out with your husband...have dinner, go for a long drive, listen to your fav music...and most importantly have faith in GOD. I will also pray for you.

Now its a matter of only few hours :-). Relax. Lots and lots of baby dust on your way. Keep me updated.

Well, if your results don't come positive, and you don't get your periods - then you must see a gynec. They may run some blood tests and may do an ultrasound, just to make sure if everything is fine. Your doctor will be the best person to tell you more about it. But based on what you have mentioned about your menstrual cycle, I still feel that the result should be positive.

I would still encourage you to do an HPT. I agree, it can show false positive, but majority of time, it is correct. Some times it could be negative due to the reason that your body hasn't prduced enough HCG to be picked up in the hpt....but a case like yours, where periods are regular and you are late by more than a week, and assuming you are pregnant- it should show positive !!

Anyways, you will know your result tomorrow in any case. So just relax and have faith in God. Jo bhi hoga, achhe ke liye hoga :-).

Curious curious replied. Yeah, to me the lower abdominal pain also looks normal- infact it is also one of the pregnancy symptoms. Infact I also had some abdominal pain when I learnt about my pregnancy and I was pretty sure that my periods were on its way...but then I was late by 2-3 days, so I decided to do a HPT which came out positive :-)).

Why don't you try a home pregnancy test ? You can know the result right away. If you are in the US, its easily available in any store.

Since you said your cycle is 26-28 days long and your last period was on 13th July, I feel you can easily do HPT ( Home Pregnany test)now. You are already late by a week.

The symptoms you mentioned could be of pregnancy and pre-mnestrual as well....because Progesterone is responible for both of these. But I have a feeling, its more likely a pregnancy...keep your fingers crossed.
