Hi
My son is 18 months. he has not started talking as yet. so wondering if this is the right age to enroll him in playschool.need advice from parents who have their kids already in playgroups
What sort of activity do they teach children?
what are the benefits of putting kid to a play school?
how much does it cost per month in a branded play school like eurokids/kidzee/podar jumbo kids etc.

hi prabha ,i would like to tell you one basic thing when it comes to your kid' s pre school ,join him to a place where he gets the atmosphere of home as well as space where he enjoins learning ,where he is not forced to do ,as you learnt enjoying your chilhood ,benefits of play school should be such that he learns without feelig he is in school .

Hello Prabha... 1st of all you must know that all children do not have the same rate of development. However, by about 18 months, they must be making mama, baba sounds... is he doing that?? If so then he' s alright. Talk to him a lot... let him ask for things like if he' s thirsty, let him ask... don' t provide things for him, give him opportunities to ask... if he' s still not talking by age 3, then there is definitely a problem, and you need to take him to a doctor. As for playschool, I agree with what Rashmi has suggested.

Hi prabha,

Please do a basic check of the creche before you put your kid.it is always advisable to put your kid in a chreche which is having enough security interms of monitoring the safety of the kids and how well they are taken care of.If you have an office creche or a chreche affiliated to your office please try that option first as your HR folks will be monitoring their performance and no goof-up' s can happen.Nowadays many chreches are coming up in every nook and corner of bangalore.Please double check before you put your kid in any chreche.But give your kid some time.Don' t push him too hard.At the age of 4 years you can send your kid for LKG so maybe 1 year before that you could send him to a playschool.
