Hi Archie,,
My doctor asked me to start multivitamin as I am planning to start ttc soon.I bought Women'es Multivitamin supply from Trader Joes.As per dosage on bottle I need to take 3 tabs to get 400mcg folic acid.That will give 200% or more of other vitamins. I fear if its bad to take more than required amount of other vitamins.Archie do you its ok to take extra vitamins during ttc?

I have one more doubt.I was going through contents of that medicine and found papain(50mg).I have heard papain can cause miscarriage.Is that true?if yes, do you think I should change this brand?

Please let me know your opinion.

don't eat anything with papain.
folic acid can be taken extra than required will flush out through urine. Maximum intake however should be less than 5 mg per day.

I think Dr has advised to take Pre-Natal multivitamins rather then 1 a day women's.
I would suggest you can try pre-Natal vitamins,Which has 400mg folic acid in 1 tablet.
Drink Lots of water/Fluid.
