I have been ttc since oct 2005. After 3 months of trying I found myself pregnant but that ended in a missed abortion in march of this year. I had to undergo D&C to terminate the pregnancy. Following D&C my husband and I decided to give a break for 2 months before ttc. Since June 06 we have been actively ttc but without any success. In July I got Accuclear OPK test to chart my ovulation.The test showed negative .I started using it from CD 8 as my cycle varied from 25 to 32 days following my D&C and I used the shortest cycle duration to chart my ovulation. I also saw some egg white like cervical discaharge on CD 23 . Based on this discharge I was assuming that I ovulated on CD 23 but unfortunately got my periods in 8 days. Thus my cycle in July was 31 days. My husband and I had intercourse almost everyday just in case we didnt miss my fertile period. Any advice as to what is going on with me. Really sorry for this long message but I am really worried if I am ovulating since the OPK test showed negative but the cervical discahrge that I had indicated that I was ovulating. cm alone is a not a very nice indicator of ovualtion although in general that do let on interpret about ovulation. It can be due to some latent infections and altered body physiology, difficult to tell.
if you have had 31 days cycle then most likely ovulation took place between 14-15th day of cycle, but getting persistently negative opk from cd8 to cd23 suggest this was anovulatory cycle and not to be fertile one.
try luck in coming cycle, can you combine it with BBT as well along with cm and opk to add to confidence.
