Hi,
There are two things that i absolutely dread doing 1. Changing Aryan's diaper and 2nd Brushing his teeth every morning.
The way he yells and almost runs away every morning when i take his brush in my hand is a sight to be seen:). He just shuts his mouth and its impossible to get the brush into his mouth:(.
Diaper changing is another sad story :( He yells clenches his butt tight pulls himself up and its almost a wrestling match getting his diaper off ,cleaning and then putting a new diaper on.
Plz, guys give me some tips as to how do i get around both these problems.
thanx,
Kiran

hi Kiran, I too have heard these type of complaints from my friends especially from moms of boys. One of my friend, what she does is, she does changes his diaper in standing position. My other friend, like \" pull up\" she does with diaper and then tightens the strap after putting the diaper. Thats also a good idea.

Hi
I have this problem too with Dylan but my dh has started changing hi diaper on the floor rather then changing table now. what i do is i give hima toy or something new to play with which he has not seen for a long time and he seems to respond well to that so far.
Wit brushing teeth he doesnt like the taste of tooth paste but when we give him a bath or when i am changing his him into chloths after a bath i give him his toothbrush and he is busy with that so i can change him in peace.if he closes motuth for brush maybe he doesnt like taste of paste or he may have gotten hurt with it b4 etc. just let him hold it and he will put it in mouth himself.

Thanks guys..
Feels good to know that i'm not alone :)
I still change him on the changing table , i felt with all the antics that he does during diaper changing this would be the best option but it still does not work. I do give him a toy in his hand talk to him sing a few rhymes , believe u me nothing has worked:(
About brushing his teeth i haven't yet introduced toothpaste acc to his ped. toothpaste only after he turns two . He did enjoy holding the brush and brushing his teeth but that stopped in about a weeks time. Maybe i'll try what Priya suggested.
thanx again guys,
kiran

Hi there,
I know even I keep hearing complaints from other moms.So far Savir is ok when it comes to changing his diaper. If I ask him to come for diaper change he runs to the other end. I have to carry him and give him something in his hand, say a toy or diaper rash cream. Something different each time. I ususally change his diaper in our bed. If I put him on the floor and change, he runs away. You can try changing it in your bed.
When it comes to brushing his teeth, it is quite a task. But I give him his tooth paste, he gives a big smile and he likes to watch himself in the mirror. He smiles and tries to talk something. I will brush his teeth as soon as possible. Sometimes I sing for him\" this is the way we brush our teeth....\" he seem to enjoy.

Hi Kiran,

let me know if you get any diaper tips. I have to run after her like for 1/2 hour before i can put on a diaper. I try to put one foot over her body and hold her down, so that i can put the diaper, but that too doesnt work sometimes, now that she is become extra strong and wriggly.

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
