Subject:  Hi there

Hi there,
Arjun is still not well though he seems better due to the steriod shot he got and because of the medication he is taking. I am desperately hoping that the chronic ear infection he has been having should go away this time. His tube surgery is not possible before our India trip (won't get an appointment) so this is the only choice left. I am working from home entire this week and next week its dady's turn to be at home with him. So we are not sending him to day-care this month - keeping him at home.We are leaving for India on the thanks giving day so hopefully he should recover completely by then. Lets see.
Hetal, I am already doing all the stuff you suggested. I also did that milk+haldi thing for a week or so. Also giving him tons of vitamin C, I mean food which has vitamin C. His cold is gone now and his sppech is gradually coming back (which he has lost due to croup). Now keeping the fingers crossed for the ear infection. I just keep praying for him.
Anitha, I was so sad to know that Laya is also not well. What gives me courage and keep me going is that this is just a passing phase and all of us will come out of this as stronger persons. Also this is just the beggining of the project we signed up for (I meant parenthood:), never thought it would be this hard and will require this much sacrifice to raise a kid, now I appreciate my parents more and more) so we need to be strong, I know its hard to preach than practice and my heart goes for Arjun almost all the time but we just keep convincing ourselves thinking that we are doing what we can.

Kiran, I am also in the same boat as you. Arjun enjoys giving me a tough time for diaper changes, toys are not of much help nowadays, donno know what to do.
As far as brushing goes, his dad forces his finger in to brush his teeth in 4-5 days otherwise we let him hold his brush and chew on it:)

Anitha, my prayers are with you and Laya. Keep posted on her health.

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
