Nurseries and Schools:Baby´ s Day Out Chreche - Durba

Hi Durba,

I would like to talk to you on this matter.Because you would have come to the chreche after seeing my earlier post on this chreche some years/months back.I was the one who used to vouch for this chreche and have recommended to many people.I myself had kept my son their for last 3 years. The respect and trust that I had for them was immense.I also used to consider her like my own mother. But unfortunately everything is shattered now.The trust word has been left with no meaning now.I am talking this as a mother who has been hurt deeply at seeing her only son at such a small age go through all this.

My kid is so scared to even talk about this chreche.I just pray that what has happened with my kid and the mental trauma that my kid has gone through no other kid goes through the same.

This entire incident was completely denied by the owners telling that kids make up story and imagine.Imagination doesn´ t show fearness in the kids eyes and his talks or his reluctentness to go to that chreche.

I would want parents to be aware of this so that no other child goes through this trauma that my family has gone through.

Rashmi,

Stop this negative publicity now... your child has spent 3 years then, and i am sure you were happy then...

now that he doesnt need patti anymore, you can afford to make such statements..

IT seems more like a personal vendetta, more than anything else....

GROW UP LADY!

Hi Lakshmi and PRao,

Thank you for understanding the fellings of a mother and a father who is going through so much pain every day at the thought of their only son having to bear all this at such a small age.If it was any of the maid´ s I would have definetly addressed it to the owner directly.Would also like to bring to your notice that these are the same maids who takes care of the kids in this chreche whenever the owner goes out of station for few working days. They have been in this chreche even when the number of kids was 38 and even now when the number of kids are 25 approx. But time and again my son has emphaised that it is the owner who has done this to him, whom he very lovingly used to call his favourite patti (grandmother). His world used to revolve around patti.
Though being 4 year old my son knows the names of all the maids working out their, every kids name and even the name of the cars in which the kids come in. And when asked about this issue he directly tells that it was patti and no one else did this to him. What still angers me is the complete denial of this incident by the owner on hitting my child just because he lost control that day and did little potty in his pants while eating his food. And till date even after all this was discussed with her she didnot even come forward to accept and apologies for this incident. The only thing we where told was that kids make up lot of stories and parents needs to take it in with a pinch of salt.Telling us to just ignore it and overlook this matter.

This emotional scare that my son and we as a parent has got will not heal so fast.I just want parents to be aware of what I have gone through and be alert on the same.

I am again surprised at the post by \" Rashmi\" . If you were happy with keeping your son at Baby' s Day Out for the past 3 years, why the change of mind all of a sudden?? Do you mean to say that the caretakers will out of the blue start \" hitting\" all the kids??? Where is the logic?

Again, what \" promoters\" and \" owners\" are you talking about?? This is not a global money churning enterprise! It' s a single-woman show. The lady in question is a grandmother with 4 grandchildren of her own a person who comes with over 30 years of kindergarten/montessori and primary school teaching experience. At her age and post-retirement, what she is doing is pure service to us parents who leave our kids and go to work to earn the moolah a person who' s continued taking care of kids even after some parents have not paid up on time and leave their kids at all odd hours (7 am till 9.30 pm at times!). Rather than finding fault (when there is none), my take is that parents should look at the positive side and the amount of flexibility and care that is given.

Irrespective of what anyone says, I believe that the kids at Baby' s Day Out will continue to receive the same loving care and attention as they have been doing in the past 4 years.

I have been seeing these posts for a few days and couldn’t help respond. Rashmi seems really hurt and angry.. I dont think any parent would be making such strong accusations without a valid reason.
baby´ s day out may be a good crèche run by a good old lady who only has others best interest at heart (it is a commercial enterprise isnt it !!) i wont debate it.. But she dosent look after all these kids by herself does she.. there must be hired help. Is it not possible that one of them hurt Rashmi´ s son when he got a little out of hand.. has it happened in the past ? will it happen again ? Probably not.. they r bound to be more careful after all the noise Rashmi has created, and other parents sending their kids to this day care should be thankful to rashmi for this. It may be an isolated incident.. but that dosent reduce Rashmi or her sons suffering in anyway.. Let us respect her feelings and not try to put her down even if it is an isolated incident in an otherwise good day care..
after all most of us are possessive parents and have a very low tolerance for pain in our children..
My heart goes out to you Rashmi and hope you and your family get over this incident soon

RE:What Toddlers Should Be Learning?
Toddlers are at a crucial stage of learning, where foundational skills for life are being developed. At Skillmatics, we believe toddlers should be learning cognitive abilities like problem-solving, memory building, and recognition of shapes, colors, and patterns. Language development, motor skills, and social-emotional growth are equally important during these years.
