Due Date Club July 2005:thanks and update

Thanks you all for being with me and the suggestions.
Hetal/sheeja, Arjun doesn't take bottle, actually he just took it for the first 3 months after I joined back my work, when he was 3 months till he was 6 months but he never liked it so he transitioned very easily to sippy cup. Also he is 90% weaned off of breast (without any crying, it took us more than 2 months but it's worth as we didn't have to let him cry)- only one morning feed remains which is more of my convenience than his demand. I haven't fed him for the last 2 days as I myself got viral fever and he is fine.

Anyways, he was on an antibiotic which is more like amox but much less stronger than what you call the stronger one. His ped recommended an ENT but at the same time he suggested us to wait for a week and then see him again at a follow-up to see if his ears get cleared up on own ( he is not taking any antibiotics now). Also he said that once we will go to India he will be better due to the weather and surrounded by family ( more attention). He also said that try to keep him home as much as possible before the India trip. He had prescribed a stronger antibiotic but suggested that we should get it only if he gets fever which by God's grace not there.

Sheeja, Arjun goes to a small (6 kids only) in home day-care so it does not have facilities like webcam and all but its a very neat and clean facility. But we are now thinking of keeping Arjun at home- may be hiring a nanny or quitting my job. Everything after India trip.

And yes, we'll make sure that his ears clear up before the India trip for sure as you all said. We have a month remaining and we'll do all the hard-work to make it happen.

Besides when Arjun was at home (until he turned one), he had only one mild cold lasted for 3 days and nothing else. This all is happening because he is with other sick kids as per his doc.

I was down with fever so couldn't respond earlier. Today I am a bit better.

Do any of you know a home remedy which I can try for his recoccuring colds?

Thanks

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
