Hetal replied. nirja had her juics, water in nuby strawcups,,,and cows milk first from sippy and thn glass,,after 1 year...
i thought in straws the milk fats might make all sticky to cleann..so i wanted to avoid that..as it is after weaning from sippy, again to straw and then cup,,m already tired of all these weaning part.
also, the cleaning part was easier than i expected,,nuby straw is detachable and strght just like simple straw,,, you can detach the two straws, from the cap itself, gently though,,and put them to dishwasher basket(the one we use to keep the bottle caps and tiny stuffs),,i place the basket horizontal that the spikes of dishwasher( the one that gives section so that you can place dishes in between them on the top rack),,and in that way spikes comes out of the holes of basket,,i will place the straws on those pipes..the straws dont fall during the washing,,because the basket is close and they fit just perfectly in it,,,,at the same time they are washed..i think it dpends on type of dishwasher you use,,,otherwise, yes its a pain to wash it seprtly......
nirja learned her drinking in nuby strawcups,in 1.5months,,she was comfortable thn she started the ordinary straw,,now she drinks with oridinary water bottle with those tiny locking system,,,so i guess it depends on baby as well as brand you use,,,
hope this helps...
Sheeja replied. hi Seema, i first introduced strawcup when Trisha was like 12 months old. I gave disposable straws. That was soo easy. She will take some milk without straw and remanining with straw.
Then i bought Munchkin strawcup. But i suggest its a big headache job to clean the starws. There are 2 straws to attched to the cup. one straw has direct hole and other has a block with a zigzag cup(spill proof). so cleaning that is veyr difficult.
My opinion, start with disposable straws .That is easy to suck than these spil-proof strawcups.

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

HI Gayathri,
I used the puzzles, the wooden blocks for alphabets and numbers.... - Sheetal [View Message]
try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
