Hi, I have a 2 and half month old baby.She is very eratic with her feedings. Sometimes she feds a lot and sometimes not at all.Since her weight gain is alright the doctor told me to just let her be.
I have been getting avery heavy milk supply from the third day of her birth so much so that i had to pump out quite a bit and my breasts were leaking heavily all the time.Suddenly this supply started going a little bit lower( almost not noticeable) and since yesterday i hardly have any milk.When i pump i can manage just 2-3 oz from both as opposed to the earlier 4oz from each.
Can anyone tell me why this is happening?Will my milk stop altogether or come back?Is there anyhtin gi can do to re establish a good supply.I want to have a good supply atleast till my baby is 6 months.
I am very very worried.

It is quite natural to have More milk in the begning ... later on your body regulates the amount of milk ... so that you have as much milk as your baby needs.so as long as your baby is gaining well dont worry .... the more the baby needs more milk will be produced. And also After sometime your breasts dont \";feel\"; as heavy as they used to ... doesnt mean they are empty . And a Pump is not an indicator of how much milk you have ... a baby can extract more milk than any pump. ...
